Live Baccarat – Tables for All Budgets
There was a time when if you walked into a land casino, only the players with the biggest bankrolls would be playing Baccarat. However, at Plaza Royal, we have Baccarat tables with betting limits to suit every budget, so both low and high rollers can enjoy the game.
Because of Baccarat’s history as a high roller game, a number of players dismiss it out of hand. This is a great shame, as it is a hugely exciting game that is easy to learn. The basic idea is to bet on which of two hand positions, Player or Banker, will have a value nearer 9 when all the cards have been dealt. This means that you can only bet on Player, Banker or a Tie.
When the betting period is over, the dealer deals two cards to each position and the hand value is calculated. Aces are worth 1, the number cards are worth their face values, and picture cards are worth 10. If the hand has a value greater than 10, then 10 is subtracted from the total.
Depending on the hand totals, a third card may be dealt to one of the positions. A hand worth 8 or 9 is called a natural and it will never receive a third card. If the Player hand is worth 5 or less then it does receive a card. If the Player hand does not receive a card, then the Banker position does it if it worth 5 or less.
Things become a little more complicated if the Player does receive a third card. The Banker will receive a card depending on the position’s value and the value of the Player card. This process is automatic and handled by the dealer, but you can find a full explanation in the game’s rules. Once all the cards have been dealt, the hands are compared and winning bets are paid.
At many of our Live Baccarat tables, you will be able to place some side bets. There is a Player/Banker Pair side bet, which wins if one of the positions is dealt a pair, as well as an Either Pair side bet, which wins if either of the positions is dealt a pair. You can also use the Perfect Pair side bet, which wins if one of the positions is dealt a pair of identical cards.
You will no doubt notice that we offer a number of different Baccarat tables, but whichever you play at, the above rules remain the same. The only difference is the No Commission Baccarat tables. At a regular table, the house takes a 5% commission on winning Banker bets. At the No Commission tables, this commission is removed, which means all winning bets pay evens, unless the Banker position is worth 6, in which case the payout is halved.
You will also find Speed Baccarat tables. The rules are exactly the same; however, all cards are dealt face up, which shortens the game round by roughly 20 seconds, allowing for even more action. Another type of table is Squeeze Baccarat, which is a slower game in which the dealer performs the squeeze (a slow revealing of the cards). There are even a couple of slightly unusual variants, such as Lightning Baccarat, which introduces payout multipliers to the game for the chance of bigger payouts.

Live Poker – Take on the Dealer
Live Poker games are a great way for poker players to have fun without having to find others to play with. The games are nearly always based upon five-card draw, but there are a number of enjoyable variants on offer. In general, you take on the dealer and if you can put together the better poker hand, then you will win a payout.
One of the most popular games is Live Casino Hold’em. The game uses two pocket cards and a five-card flop. Players simply place an Ante bet and are dealt the two cards. After the dealer has revealed the first three flop cards, players have the choice of Call or Fold. At the end of the round, when the dealer’s cards are revealed, the dealer must have at least a pair of fours to qualify. Players are then paid out according to the strength of their hand.
Another very popular game is Caribbean Stud Poker. In this game, players receive five face up cards and the dealer receives four face down and one face up. Players can then Fold or Call before the dealer’s cards are revealed. Once again, the dealer has to qualify, this time with at least an Ace-King. All Live Poker games are very simple, but perhaps the simplest is Three Card Poker. After players place their Ante bets, they receive three face up cards and the dealer receives three face down. Players can then Play or Fold. The dealer then reveals the cards and they must have at least a Queen high to qualify. Players are then paid out if they have the stronger hand. If you want to experience something a bit different, then the game Side Bet City is the perfect choice. It is different in two ways; first, it has a fun retro theme that transports you back to the 1980s. If you are a fan of dice games, then Sic Bo is the perfect game for you. It is a game in which players need to bet on the outcome of a roll of three dice. The dice are in a special glass shaker at the centre of the table, and you simply bet on what numbers will be rolled.
However, there are a number of different types of bet available, and this is what makes the game so interesting and exciting. You can place the following bets:
- Big – The total score is from 11 to 17
- Small – The total score is from 4 to 10
- Total Bet – Betting on the total sum of the three dice to be a specific number
- Single Bet – Betting on a specific number to appear on at least one of the dice
- Double Bet – A bet on the result containing a specific pair
- Triple Bet – A bet on the result being a specific triple

The payouts for these bets range from 1:1, for bets such as Small or Big, all the way up to 150:1 for a successful Triple Bet.
However, the game we offer, Super Sic Bo, has an extra twist. After the betting period end, a number or random multipliers worth up to x1000 are assigned to different positions on the betting area, and this means that some enormous payouts are theoretically possible. In fact, with the maximum multiplier, a successful Triple Bet could payout as much as 999:1!
The game also features a number of roadmap scorecards for those that like to try to spot trends in the dice. There is one that shows the results of the last nine rounds complete with the individual dice values. The other view is a more traditional roadmap and it displays the Big/Small and Tie results.
The other Asian game on offer is Dragon Tiger. The game has some similarity to Baccarat, but it is even simpler. It uses eight decks of cards and players are simply betting on which position, the Dragon or the Tiger, will have the higher value card dealt to it, or if there will be a tie. Players place their bets and as soon as the betting period is over, the dealer first burns the top card and then deals a card to the Dragon position and then the Tiger position. The cards are then turned over and any winning bets are paid out.
To make things more exciting, there are four side bets that can be placed on both the Dragon and Tiger positions, meaning that eight bets are possible in total. The Big side bet pays out if the card dealt to the position is an 8 or higher and the Small bet pays out if the card is a 6 or lower. Both of the bets lose if a 7 is dealt. The Odd side bet pays out if the card is an A, 3, 5, 9, J or K while the Even side bet pays out if the card is a 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 or Q. All four of the side bets pay at 1:1 and they can be placed even if a player chooses not to place the Dragon or Tiger main bets.
